Troubleshooting AAI issues
Technical background
Additional documentation
The NFDI4Immuno federated login builds on Identify and Access Management provided by the IAM4NFDI base service, which in turn is relies on the DFN-AAI federation and the community AAI (cAAI) service provided by Helmholtz ID, where the NFDI4Immuno VO is hosted. Documentation about these underlying services can be found under the following links:

Troubleshooting
Testing the authentication procedure
It is possible that users experience problems to login NFDI4Immuno services, despite their ability to login to Helmholtz ID with their institutional accounts. In such a case it is likely that some user information required by the NFDI4Immuno service is not transmitted or transmitted differently than expected by the service. Troubleshooting should therefore include a test of the authentication work flow using the Orpheus tool provided by KIT.
-
Start the test authentication: https://orpheus.data.kit.edu/authcode/Helmholtz%20AAI
-
You should see the selection menu below, search for your institution via the "Search" box an click on it.
-
You will then be forwarded to your institutional login screen, please enter your username and password. Leave the tick-boxes blank and confirm the login via tha "Anmelden" button. :::info The following screenshot shows the DKFZ login as an example, your institution's login will likely look a bit different. :::
-
You will see the confirmation screen regarding the transfer of the information in your profile. Confirm via the "Allow" button.
-
You can now look at your information. Use the blue "I want to share this information" button on the top to receive a link that you can share for troubleshooting purposes. Set the life time of the link to 3 days, this should be sufficient in most cases.
